We assess and treat older people aged 65 and over, although some younger clients are accepted. Our service provides support related to mental health disorders including serious behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD). We liaise with whānau/family to develop comprehensive care plans as well as linking with other services related to health, disability support and social services.

Who is this service for?

People of 65 years and older with Mental Illness from any ethnicity. This service is run in partnership with the Taranaki District Health Board and all GP referrals should be directed to the referral hub at the hospital. You can contact them by email at ophreferralhub@tdhb.org.nz

Referrer Feedback
