Te Hauora Pou Heretanga (the binding or strengthening of the health pillar) is a Tui Ora affiliated provider.

Disability Support Service:
This service offers Support for people of all ages with long term disabilities (over 6 months).
The coordinator liaises with social service agencies on behalf of the client or their whanau ensuring that all
available services are being utilised, this service is Taranaki wide
Elder Protection Service:
This service is aimed at people over the age of 65 years.
The current coordinator deals with issues associated with all forms of abuse and neglect.
The service provides information and support to older people and their whanau, also advocacy and referral to appropriate
support services.
This Service offers education sessions to Rest Homes and Learning Institutions.
Whanau / Family Carer Support programme:
Facilitates training programmes for unpaid family/whanau caregivers. These forums cover a variety
of topics designed to insure that both carers and clients and undertaking best practice methods.
Asthma and Diabetes Advocate:
Provides Support and Education to clients and whanau with Asthma and/or Diabetes to ensure that all available services are being reached.
Kaumatua Services:
Coordinates Physical Activity and Health Promotion classes three mornings per week from the Motorua Church Hall.
These classes are a mix of Low Impact Exercise and Health Promotion covering topics such as Nutrition Healthy lifestyles and Breast Screen Education. Te Hauora Pou Heretanga
currently only delivers this service to the New Plymouth area
Home Based Support Service:
Clients are referred by TDHB Home Support Unit, Access Ability Hospice and ACC. Caregivers carry out both Personal and Domestic tasks for clients in their own home.
Morning and Evening Service.
Individual Funding for over 65's.
We currently have caregivers located through out the Taranaki region.
