We provide a kaupapa Māori mental health assessment, intervention and consultation service.  This service is supported by Kaumātua and Kuia as well as an employment placement service to Tāngata Whaiora and Whānau in the Taranaki region.

• New Plymouth office 8.30 am to 5.00 pm
• Hawera office by appointment
• Referrals accepted from: Self/Whānau, TDHB Mental Health Service, GP’s, agencies and other providers.

Service Provided by
The service is provided by a multi-disciplinary team including Kaumātua and Kuia, Clinical Coordinator, Psychiatrist, Psychologist, Registered Nurses, Intensive Case Nurse-High Complex Needs, Dual Diagnosis Worker and Employment Placement & Support Specialists.

Aims of Service
We aim to increase Tangata Whaiora ability to recognise and manage their own mental health wellness by providing:

• Tikanga Māori-based clinical mental health services
• Specialist assessment (clinical and cultural), diagnosis and associated wellness support plans
• Medication and other treatments in accordance with wellness support plan
• Advice on all matters relating to maintaining wellness
• Employment and educational support services to assist Tangata Whaiora gain meaningful employment.
