Our registered nurse focuses on supporting and educating people so they can independently manage their asthma/COPD to maintain optimal health and wellbeing. This includes facilitating self management plans with GP’s which are tailored to individual needs and working alongside other services as appropriate. Our service provides education on:

  • What asthma/COPD is
  • Medications - what they do, and how to use them effectively
  • Trigger identification and management
  • Symptom monitoring
  • Managing an asthma emergency
  • Healthy lifestyles

Our Asthma Support Nurse provides educational sessions at home, on the marae, preschools, workplaces or any other locations as required.  To view our brochure click here or see below.
