Our programme aims to support mothers with their breastfeeding. We can provide one on one support from other mothers as well as advice from a lactation consultant.
Home visits and clinics are available with weekly sessions operating from 10am-12noon on Wednesday (Waitara, Tui Ora office, 14A Domett St), Thursday (Stratford, Pregnancy Help, Romeo St) and Friday (New Plymouth, Tui Ora, 36 Maratahu St).
We also train and resource other mothers wishing to become a volunteer peer support person. Receiving information and a listening ear can be the very thing that helps a mother to have a positive outcome when challenges are present.
We welcome the involvement of partners and whānau as their support can be vital to breastfeeding success.
We work in collaboration with a range of other providers and organisations such as Plunket, TDHB Maternity and Public Health, La Leche League and midwives. To see our brochure click here or view below.
