This is a free, mobile service operating in Mōkau, Waitara, Inglewood, Coastal Taranaki and New Plymouth. We help all whānau with tamariki/children aged zero to five years, working alongside them so they can find their way forward on any issues around parenting and childcare.
We provide Well Child checks, whānau support and information. We can also offer advice on nutrition, breastfeeding, immunisation, sleep and baby’s growth. In addition we are able to access the pepi-pods (the plastic portable cots that help prevent SUDI or sudden unexplained death of an infant) and immunise children at home if whānau are not able to get to their GP. For more details see our Outreach Immunisation Service.
Care continues through to the free B4 school checks with hearing and vision tests, early dental care, and registration with dental services. We provide information and advocacy and help parents with children.
