The Taranaki Stop Smoking Service (TSSS) is delivered by trained Quit Coaches providing group programmes, clinics or one-on-one support. The service is free, confidential and we can come to you at any time - wherever you are.
We know quitting is tough and group programmes enable you to give up with family, friends or work colleagues. Chances are, if those around you are determined to break the habit, you will be too. The programme includes weekly support and on enrolment we can provide free Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) such as patches, lozenges and gum.
The Smoking Cessation Referral pathway is simple. People are referred via best practice (GPs), a smoking cessation form (TDHB) or TSSS referral form (all other referrers including self-referrals). Download and fill out a copy of the TSSS referral form here.
The TSSS team keeps referrers informed of a person’s progress. Email stopsmoking@tuiora.co.nz for more information, phone 06 759 7314 or ask your GP.
See our newsletter (below) for further information. Read our December newsletter here.
