Community Nursing


  • Tamariki Ora Well Child Services – face to face with some phone calls
  • Community Nursing Service including support with long-term conditions, asthma and cancer – face to face with some phone calls
  • Mobile flu vaccinations – as required
  • Outreach Immunisation Service – face to face

Oranga Hinengaro -

Mental Health and Addiction Services

  • Residential and Community Support Services – open as usual
  • Community mental health – in-person care in usual locations including home and clinics
  • Non-clinical support including vocational support, activity programmes, consumer advocacy – face to face. Online-virtual support continues as required
  • Taranaki Primary Connections – services resumed
  • Taiohi Ora Youth Wellness – services resumed

Oranga Hapori - Public Health programmes

  • Taranaki Stop Smoking – face to face, phone, texting and online support available.  Group programmes available by request
  • Oranga Mokopuna – face to face, email, phone, group and individual sessions resumed
  • Pāhake programme – face to face, phone and online support taking place.  Group activities not yet resumed
  • Tiki Toa – email, face to face and group sessions resumed
  • Tiaki Ūkaipō Breastfeeding Service – face to face support at clinics and homes has resumed 

Taranaki Youth Service

  • Face to face services resumed

Tui Ora Family Health and Pharmacy

GP and nursing services returned to business as usual.

Virtual options remain where required.

Registered patients can receive flu vaccinations, which are free for hapū māmā, 65 years and over, and those with long-term conditions.

Tui Ora support - general

New Plymouth and Hawera offices open with measures in place around physical distancing and contact tracing.

Kaimahi returning on site in a gradual process as technology is used to keep services and programmes operating.
