After a three-year Covid created absence the World of Music, Art and Dance or WOMAD returned to the Bowl with a bang last weekend!

Tui Ora are long term sponsors of this celebration of indigenous art and culture and the team on the ground  did a fabulous job of showcasing our culture, tikanga and hauora offerings (rongoa, our Pou Oranga wellbeing story and the health benefits of poi movement) to hundreds of manuhiri who visited our gazebo next to the Te Paepae stage over the three day long festival.

All of this took place alongside the Tepaepae stage as it boomed to life with Pasifika dance workshops, drumming demos from the Narukami Taiko Drumming group from Japan and a impressive voice demonstration from Bulgarian singers the AcapolliNations.

A big mihi to the Oranga Hapori team for flying the flag for Tui Ora at WOMAD: Fay, Ngareo, Sam Mahy, Anahera, Britney, Vanessa, Te Haupai, Leanne, Carlene and Tracy, Ariana for sharing her Rongoa knowledge and expertise, and Michelle Cruickshank in communication who worked alongside the team to make everything run smoothly and look flawless!
