TPC connects whānau struggling with mild to moderate mental health and addiction needs, to counsellors or psychologists.
Adults access the service through a referral from a GP or other provider such as Taranaki Rural Support Trust or a Lead Maternity Carer (LMC).
Youth (taiohi) and children, aged 10-19 years of age, can access through Child Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), a school counsellor, public health nurse, youth guarantee coordinator or other health professional.
Entry criteria
Funding is targeted to adults, youth, Māori, Pacific, rural or remote, low-income and those assessed as being in the 4-17% of the population who experience mild to moderate mental health and additional problems.
