This programme is for:

Taiohi aged 16-18 who are:

  • Not in Education Employment or Training (NEET)
  • or are receiving a Work and Income Youth Payment (YP) or Young Parent Payment (YPP).

About this programme:

Kaimahi support young people to make better choices by:

  • Developing  individual action plans alongside taiohi based on their gaols and aspirations
  • Linking taiohi with education and training
  • Opportunities to improve knowledge and skills around budgeting, parenting and work readiness.

  • If taiohi don’t meet the MSD entry criteria, support is also available via our Taiohi Ora/Youth Wellness programme and our Whānau Ora Kaiārahi service.
