To book an appointment to see any of our clinical or hauora specialists you can:

1. Call us on 06 759 7310 — press option #2 — and speak to our reception team OR
2. Book via our patient portal My Indici 

If you don’t already have a MyIndici account, phone our friendly reception team who can help you get set up.

Get a repeat prescription

If you are on long-term medication, it’s important that you catch up with a doctor every 3-6 months — this is so we can monitor your condition and the benefits and/or side effects of any treatment to ensure you’re doing okay.

If you have recently seen your doctor, in some cases it may be possible to organise a repeat prescription without another visit. To request a prescription please either:

• Call (06) 759 7310 and select option #1 to connect to our prescription line
• Make a request via the My Indici patient portal*
• Visit Tui Ora Hauora ā-Whānau reception and fill in a medication request form

You’ll need to let us know:

• Your full name
• Your contact phone number
• The name of the medicine
• The name of the pharmacy you want to collect your medicine from

There is a charge for a repeat prescription – please see below.

Talk to a nurse

One of our nursing team can kōrero with you about what’s going on and suggest ways we can help.

• Call 06 759 7310, press #2 and our receptionists can connect you with one of our nurses

Get my results

If you’ve had a lab test or other investigation, we may not let you know the test results if no further action is needed.

If the doctor does have any concerns, we will be in touch.

Otherwise, you can see your results on the MyIndici patient portal (contact reception to set up an account if you don’t have one already).

You can also call directly (06 759 7310 #2) to get your results, and any recorded comments from the doctor. Please leave 3-4 working days after your test is carried out before calling to allow time for the results to arrive.

If further discussion about your results are needed, you will be asked to book an appointment.

Our Services

Tui Ora Hauora ā-Whānau offers a complete suite of general practice services including:

• Regular recall for breast examinations, cervical smears, diabetes checks and immunisations
• Pregnancy tests and first trimester maternity care
• Contraceptive advice, sexually transmitted disease screening and treatment
• 6-week post-natal baby checks
• Liquid nitrogen for removal of warts and some skin lesions
• ECG and Spirometry treatment
• Immunisations (including COVID-19, measles and influenza vaccines)
• Driver’s Licence medicals
• Insurance medical assessments

Making things go more smoothly for your visit

Tui Ora Hauora ā-Whānau is a busy medical centre and there are a number of things you can do to help us provide a
good service. These include:

• ALWAYS let the receptionist know when you have arrived. This ensures that the doctor or nurse knows you
  are here for your appointment.
• Please arrive on time. If you are concerned that the doctor may be running late, you are welcome to call the
  receptionist on (06) 759 7310 #2 to check. If you arrive late, the receptionist will check with the doctor
  to see if they are still available. Please do not be offended if we are unable to see you and a new time needs to
  be made.
• Our standard appointments are 15-minutes long. Please be realistic about what can be covered
  in this time. For good quality of care, this will be one, or perhaps two, small problems. Additional issues or prescriptions are likely to take longer than 15 minutes to discuss.
• If you think that you will need longer, please let the receptionists know when you call to book and they can arrange a longer consultation. An extra charge will apply for the extra time.
• Consultations are for one patient per appointment. Please do not expect our doctors to be able to see two or more
  patients, or siblings, in a 15-minute appointment slot.
• If a doctor or nurse has asked that you have a blood test, please do this before your appointment so the results can be reviewed at your consultation.
• Book an appointment or request a prescription well in advance, as an urgent fee may apply. Do not wait until the day your medicine runs out.
• Please notify us if you are unable to keep your appointment with at least one hour’s notice or more, if possible. This means we can offer the appointment to someone else. Failure to do this will lead to a charge for a missed appointment.
